About Lawrence

Lawrence is a Toronto-based designer and researcher who is passionate about improving health, care and well-being for all people.

With 15 years of experience across health research, non-profit, and government sectors, his work strikes a balance between strategy and execution, driven by empathy and the desire to understand others’ lived experiences.

As a multidisciplinary designer (or “generalist”), Lawrence draws on his background in industrial, visual, and experiential design to inform and build tangible solutions that brings clarity to complex challenges, foster collaboration and communication, and creates meaningful connections for users and providers alike. You can call it pragmatic optimism.

Outside of work, his creativity extends into hand lettering, urban sketching, and a rediscovered interest in painting. He is also an avid bookworm, a fair weather cyclist, and a frequent listener of narrative-driven podcasts.
